A systematic review and meta-analysis of 23 studies (n=733) found that PAP therapy was associated with a mean pulmonary arterial pressure reduction of 5.96 mmHg (95% CI 3.20-8.73; p<0.0001), with a larger reduction of 11.41 mmHg in those with baseline pulmonary hypertension. Heterogeneity was high (I²>85%), and certainty of evidence was rated low.
